What Mendry Does
Mendry’s initiative, Mendry Live, is more than just a podcast. It’s a space where veterans, families, and clinicians share real stories, practical insights, and plain-language resources. Beyond conversations, we organize dignity-forward supports that directly help veterans, active-duty families, and caregivers—making Mendry stand out in the veteran support community.
Current initiatives include:
- Grant-making 501(c)(3): We fund trusted community nonprofits serving veterans.
- Veteran peer meet-ups & skill sessions: Stigma-free spaces for connection, problem-solving, and education.
- Veteran-friendly health education: Neutral sessions covering osteopathic care basics, mindfulness, and navigating VA vs. VA Community Care.
- Community nonprofit partnerships for financial relief: Mendry works with vetted nonprofits offering emergency/stabilization financial grants. Partners—not Mendry—decide eligibility, review applications, and issue awards.

What You Receive (Acknowledgment-Only, With Legal Context)
Cannabis remains federally illegal. The DEA has proposed moving it from Schedule I to Schedule III, which may ease certain restrictions, but state programs and product promotion remain outside federal approval. (AP News)
